‘But the forest is more than just a collection of trees…’
T.C. WHITMORE

In “A Forest’s Worth of Insects”,
botanist Joseph Lai will share with you the other side of plant life -- its co-evolutionary partner, the insects.

He hopes to bring home the point made so poignantly by the late botanist T.C. Whitmore that the richness of the rain forest is not just about trees but a whole lot more.

‘It is the inalienable primacy of our living forest that we should never forget nor allowed to be confused or hijacked by the aesthetics of manmade gardens and roadside greens
around us’, said Joseph Lai.
