Stenotaphrum secundatum
The inflorescence is arranged in a spike-like raceme (or rame)
into which all the spikelets are disposed on one side of a broad
rachis. On closer inspection, it will soon become apparent that the
spikelets are actually accomodated within 'pockets' sunkened into
the fleshy rachis.
