Penang Hill 2007
The Universe is a Lodging House
for the myriad things,
and time itself
is a travelling guest of the centuries.
This floating life is like a dream.
How often can one enjoy
oneself?
It is for this reason
that the ancient people held candles
to celebrate the night.

from A Night Feast, Li Po (AD701-762);
translated by the great writer Lin Yutang (1895-1976 March 26) who was nominated twice - in 1972 and 1973 - for the Nobel Prize for Literature.

My dearest friends,
Of the myriad things I floated by,
here's a few
from the Lodging House
to share a dream... and celebrate the light.

Yellow Forest Star
(Acrotrema costatum)
Orangeheaded Blister Beetle
Forest Centipede
Mock Bodhi (Ficus rumphii)
Iridescent Shorthorn
Greenea corymbosa

Schima wallichii (of changkoh flowers)
Happy Valley

What dream? What light? My little candle seemed to have danced and sparkled in a funny sort of way lately to open my eyes to new insights. : )
