Neatly packed for the postman-bees
This native armed climber, Oxyceros longiflora (photo below), bears
flowers that turn yellow before wilting. She belongs to the family,
Rubiaceae (coffee family), and can be found in localities near the sea.
Of the 6000 rubiaceous species in the tropics, only one - Chengam -
is truly affiliated to the mangroves and muddy shores.
