MacRitchie
is more than just a reservoir from which we draw life-sustaining water
for our daily consumption. She is a rare beauty and magically endowed.
This is attested by the increasing number of regular visitors who
make her their second home and outdoor gym.
But how is it so? What is her secret that draw people to her?
Personally, it is the water that attracts me to her the most. Perhaps,
it is a deep-seated yearning that I have for the peace and calm that
I have had experienced in my mother's watery womb? Whatever it is,
like many others, I have certainly found in her a place of solace
to relax and unwind.
MacRitchie is also one of the last stronghold to some precious patches

left in Singapore today. Giant keruing trees, nutmegs, oak and other
native tree species provide a wonderful representation of what a tropical
forest is like. A walk along her many footpaths and boardwalks will
bring you back in time to the majesty of the pristine forest ecosystem
that had once covered the whole island of Singapore in pre-Raffles
times. |
So
why wait. Come and join me in this magical journey.
Allow me to be your guide and let me share with you the wonders that
nature brings through the sights and sounds of MacRitchie. Below are
