This
crystal-like spider came into my view while I was taking a photo
of the spikelets of Lophatherum gracile (a forest grass) at
Bukit Kalang.
She is so tiny ! Each spikelet is barely 1 cm long and armed with
a tuft of
stiff hairs which get attached onto the fur of passing animals for
dispersal.
It was my first encounter with this unfamiliar species of spider though.
See pseudo-stalk of leaf blade of
Lophatherum gracile. |
