A. J., Head Visual Arts Department Design: An Ecological Stream Garden Theme: A quiet oasis for nature education, and a sanctuary for everyone naturally. Core elements: Native aquatic animals and plants; slow-flowing stream with clean water; low terrestrial vegetations and rocks; non-intrusive accessibility for hands-on nature workshops (or casual visits) through cobbled pathway, wooden bridge and miniature lawns. Design's objectives: a friendly and safe garden low in maintenance; flexible learning spaces able to evolve and accomodate changes in lesson plans and other artistic demands; light-well kept bright; a greenery looking 'wild' but kept controlled within the limitations of a confined space. |
