An example of a mineral that can be found in Chek Jawa is a chert - a compact flinty chalcedony (explanation below).
What is a chalcedony?
A chalcedony (Greek chalkedon, possibly from Chalcedon, in Asia Minor) is a beautiful mineral composed of silica, usually banded, translucent, of waxy lustre, generally white or bluish-white, apparently amorphous (meaning: without definite shape or structure), but consisting of crystallined fibres.
